Meeting Program

The 44th Annual Midwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society is October 21 - 24, 2009 in Iowa City, Iowa at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center.

The technical program begins Wednesday, October 21, at 1:00 pm. Symposia for the meeting are based on this year's theme for National Chemistry Week: "Chemistry: It's Elemental" and include topics focused on Health, Energy, and the Environment. Oral and poster presentation sessions in the traditional areas of chemistry will be offered, as well as an exhibition, integrated high school and undergraduate activities, and an ACS career workshop. Special events include a Presidential Plenary Lecture by ACS President-Elect Joseph Francisco and the annual Midwest Award Symposium and banquet. There will be a workshop symposium for high school teachers on Saturday.

You are invited to submit an abstract to the meeting. Abstract submission is open from May 1, 2009 to September 4, 2009.  Please submit your abstract HERE.
